If you are looking for relief, because it feels like something needs to change soon, we can help you. At the end of a session, most clients express feeling a sense of relief, because they realize they don't have to do it all alone, and because they have a sense of direction and improvement. After all, isn't that what life is all about?
By listening, we try to get in your experience to understand what you are going through. By the end of our first session, you will get a sense of direction and hope, even if it feels like things are hopeless.
In both couples and family work, we work in a way that each person's thoughts and feelings are heard so one person doesn't feel 'ganged-up' on by their partner or family members or the therapist.
Here are some of the concerns that may bring families to therapy:
Parenting concerns
Relationship or communication issues
Anger management
Adjusting to new situations such as divorce or moving
